Keith A. Kelly is a judge of the Utah Third District Court, in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA . Kelly was appointed to the bench by Utah Governor Gary Herbert in 2009.〔 == Biography == Kelly was born on August 4, 1958 in Blackford, Idaho, and attended Del Mar High School in San Jose, California where he was involved on the speech and debate team. Kelly attended college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1981, graduating summa cum laude. In 1982 he graduated with his master’s degree, also in economics. He later received a Jurist Doctorate’s degree from Stanford Law in 1985.〔Judges' Biographies. (2010, February 25). During his legal career, Kelly served on the Utah Supreme Court Advising Committee on the Rules of Evidence for many years and was elected president of the Young Lawyers Discussion of the Utah State Bar in 1992.
